A Very Large Online Platform (VLOP) is an online platform with more than 45 million monthly users in the European Union (EU), for which the Digital Services Act (DSA) prescribes particularly strict obligations — e.g. risk assessments, transparency reports, review by independent auditors. VLOPs are formally designated by the Commission.
