HKCERT
Hong Kong Computer Emergency Response Team Coordination Centre
Computer-Notfallteam und Koordinationsstelle Hongkongs
Also known as: HKCERT/CC
HKCERT is Hong Kong's computer emergency response team, operated by the Hong Kong Productivity Council. It publishes security bulletins on vulnerabilities in widely used software with its own risk rating from "Low" to "Extremely High", affected versions, solutions and links to the vendor advisories.
History & facts. HKCERT was founded in 2001 and coordinates incident response for businesses and internet users in Hong Kong. Its own content is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 Hong Kong; NEOSEC Intel uses the bulletins in full text and as a labelled German machine translation, retrieved every six hours via the RSS feed.
Outlook & recommendation. The HKCERT risk rating is a second opinion next to Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS), Exploit Prediction Scoring System (EPSS) and the Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog (KEV) catalogue: it rates whole bulletins and takes known exploitation into account. We do not feed it into severity or priority, but show it in the source line of the Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) page.
