    Priority (0–325)

The priority score is a consolidated metric that condenses several individual signals into a single, action-guiding ranking: technical severity (CVSS), exploitation likelihood (EPSS), known-exploited status (KEV) and the context of the affected asset. The aim is to answer the only truly important question in vulnerability management: what first?

    30.00 Methodology
    Exploit maturity

An exploit is code or a technique that specifically uses a concrete vulnerability to force unintended behaviour — such as executing code or escalating privileges. It is the tool that turns a theoretical flaw into a practical attack.

    no public PoC known
    KEV status

The KEV catalogue is a list maintained by the US authority CISA of vulnerabilities for which active exploitation in the wild has been confirmed. It answers not the question „how severe?“ but „is it already being attacked?“ — thereby sharply prioritising patching.

    Classification under NIS2 and CRA

Rule-based classification from exploitation status and severity. It does not replace a case-by-case assessment.

    NIS2

NIS2 is EU Directive (EU) 2022/2555 to raise the level of cybersecurity across the Union. It substantially broadens obligations compared with the first NIS directive: more sectors, mandatory risk management, staged reporting duties and personal accountability of senior management.

    Read in glossary
Handle the vulnerability in regular vulnerability handling under Art. 21(2)(e) NIS2.
    CRA

The CRA is EU Regulation (EU) 2024/2847 setting horizontal cybersecurity requirements for „products with digital elements“ — from industrial controllers and software to connected consumer devices. For the first time manufacturers must ensure security across the entire product lifecycle, handle vulnerabilities and provide security updates.

    Read in glossary
From 11.12.2027, Annex I Part II CRA requires manufacturers of affected products with digital elements to handle vulnerabilities without delay and provide security updates.
    ISO/IEC 27001

ISO/IEC 27001 is the internationally leading standard for an information security management system (ISMS). It describes a risk-based, process-oriented framework to systematically plan, implement, review and improve information security.

    Description

Listen notification_important Alert Critical vulnerabilities in Fortinet products Fortinet have announced critical vulnerabilities in Fortinet products, and are releasing security updates which customers should implement as a priority. error Alert Status: Critical help Critical alert rating A critical alert details a cyber security vulnerability that entities should take immediate action to minimise the risk. The ACSC has assessed that network owners and operators be informed of the threats so that they can take actions to minimise risk and impact to their networks. Critical alerts refer to vulnerabilities that are currently or will imminently impact Australia, due to a publicly available trivially exploitable proof-of-concept and evidence of active exploitation, and at the time of publication will require drastic actions to minimise harm to networks. Fortinet are advising customers to complete the security updates as a priority. This alert is intended for all organisations using Fortinet products. Background Fortinet are releasing critical security updates to a wide range of products. Fortinet have recommended customers implement the security updates as a prioirity. The Australian Signals Directorate's Australian Cyber Security Centre (ASD’s ACSC) is monitoring the situation but has no further details beyond Fortinet’s current public advice. Fortinet is expected to release more information 10 November 2026. Fortinet has announced that multiple versions of FortiOS, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, FortiMail and FortiAuthenticator are affected. A comprehensive list of affected products and fixed versions can be found here . Fortinet have advised affected versions of FortiSASE have already had security updates applied automatically but FortiManager products may require manual updates. ASD’s ACSC is currently not aware of active exploitation related to these vulnerabilities in Australia. Mitigation advice ASD’s ACSC advises individuals and organisations to: Identify Fortinet products within their environments. Apply available security updates. Monitor and review Fortinet official guidance. Continue to monitor Fortinet products for evidence of exploitation activity. Where the relevant security updates are unable to be implemented immediately, Fortinet have recommended customer reduce exposure by: Restricting administrative interfaces (HTTPS, SSH) to trusted IP addresses or disable them on external interfaces. Ensuring FortiManager administration is not reachable from the internet. Implementing strong credentials and mandating Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) on user accounts.
