MD5
Message-Digest Algorithm 5
Hashverfahren MD5
MD5 is an older hash algorithm that produces 128-bit checksums. It has been considered broken for years because collisions can be produced deliberately, and it is unsuitable for signatures and passwords. As an identifier for malware files it is nevertheless still widespread in threat intelligence feeds.
