Computer Security Incident Response Team

A CSIRT is a team that receives, analyses and helps handle security incidents; the term is used largely synonymously with CERT. Network and Information Security Directive 2 (NIS2) requires every European Union (EU) member state to designate at least one national CSIRT. The national CSIRTs cooperate in the EU CSIRTs network.
